Briefly describe your job… what do you really do at EL?
I help educators discover ExploreLearning by increasing our online presence through advertising and website strategy! On any given day I work with the entire marketing team to plan new campaigns and research new topics to best showcase our products and brand.
What do you like about working at EL?
I love seeing how our products improve outcomes for kids! Getting to see and share new efficacy research and data on our products is also super exciting to me. Plus, it’s really enjoyable to work in such a collaborative environment with a tight-knit and supportive team.
What's the most seriously fun thing you've ever done?
One of the most seriously fun things I’ve ever done is hiking through the El Yunque National Rainforest in Puerto Rico with my husband! We also cliff-dove and went down a natural waterslide. We made it out of the forest just in time to avoid a massive rainstorm!
Tell us about one of your STEM mentors. Who inspired you, and how?
My biggest STEM mentor is my mom, Sarah Thionville. After raising my siblings and I, my mom went back to school and earned a degree in nursing, in addition to her degree in Liberal Arts. It was extremely inspiring to watch her take on a new STEM career and field of study, and motivated me to pursue more opportunities and classes in STEM while I was in college myself!

I’d like to think I have a few handy skills that could help sustain me for a while, like gardening and native plant knowledge, but I’d have to get that far first!
