Briefly describe your job… what do you really do at EL?
I’m the mechanic of our marketing platforms, working behind-the-scenes to make sure everything is connected and working as it should.
What do you like about working at EL?
The team is absolutely fantastic; constantly encouraging curiosity and supporting every member’s personal and professional growth.
What's the most seriously fun thing you've ever done?
(At EL?) Rewiring entire programs to be able to consistently offer the right information more efficiently – and make them a little fancier in the process.
What big STEM accomplishment do you think we’ll see happen in the next 100 years, and why are you excited about it?
Realizing the potential of carbon-free nuclear fusion as a virtually limitless clean energy source. Mom always said that if we make a mess, we better clean it up, too (or at least not keep making it worse).
Why is STEM education important, in your personal opinion?
It builds so many valuable skills that will serve learners for their entire lives: critical thinking, problem-solving, and an innovative mindset of exploration.
Artificial intelligence… friend or foe?
No one has convinced me that the Matrix is not a completely impossible outcome yet!
How long would you survive a zombie apocalypse? Why?
As long as my food lasts – I just need to find a remote island and hope they stay distracted elsewhere.
